ONE BILLION RISING is a revolution, a global strike, and a call to men and women to refuse to participate in the status quo until rape and rape culture ends. ONE BILLION RISING invites Saint Rose students, faculty, and the Albany community to show the world a refusal to accept violence against women and girls.

ONE BILLION RISING is being held in conjunction with the 15th anniversary of V-Day, a global activist movement to end violence against women and girls. V-Day, the group sponsoring ONE BILLION RISING, promotes creative events such as The Vagina Monologues  and produces films such as Until The Violence Stops to broaden the attention for the fight to stop cruelty against women.
